St Peter’s, Peterstow

St Peter’s Church is situated down a narrow lane to the north of the village green. There has been a place of worship on this site since pre-Norman times and the church has given its name to the village. The church is situated in a peaceful and very beautiful churchyard and was re-ordered and modernised in 2009, meaning that the building has provided for the wide range of community activities. If you visit don’t be surprised if you find a community lunch or craft sessions taking place!

Worship takes place every week. Further information about our services can be found here.

Coronation Celebrations

An Eco church themed service was held on 20th February focussing on making small changes in lifestyles to reduce our carbon footprints both individually, and as a congregation and community.  The congregation members were asked to make small changes as part of their Lent observance this year and St Peter’s will then consider joining the A Roche eco-award scheme promoted by the diocese.
The handout distributed at the service is attached here and sets out our challenge for Lent.  The whole idea was very well received in the service, so we hope that at the APCM  (15th May) the scheme will receive a positive vote and we can take this forward.
